On January 10,2017
A teacher, by the name of Miss Johnson, showed an aggressive act towards Evelyn Shepard. This incident occurred around 8:30am that morning. The parents weren't notified until 3:05,the end of the school day.
The incident occurred when Evelyn asked the teacher about pencil sharpening. Ms Johnson,obviously having a bad day, became loud and aggressive and asked her was she crazy or stupid.
Evelyn was confused and her feelings were hurt. She then started to cry, from being yelled at and humiliated in front of the class. As she went to wipe the tears her teacher, Miss Johnson became more frustrated and yanked her arms pulling on them and pulling out her hair, two braids to be exact.
Evelyn was wearing corn rolls at the time. Braids that are attached to the scalp. Evelyn was forced to walk around Sunset Elementary all day. Being ridiculed and poke fun of and picked on because of the bald spot.
I have started this petition because Miss Johnson has had more than one run in with children as well as parents in the past. On one occasion she referred to a child as a dumbass.
The real question here is how much do the children and the parents have to take?
At the tender ages of eight through ten they shouldn't be called out of their names or humiliated.
Yelling, cursing and being physically abusive with a child is off limits.
There should be a zero tolerance for this kind of behavior.
As parents we send our children to school for an education. We are taught at a young age and at the present age that it takes a village to raise a child, by no means does that mean be physical and mentally break down children.
I am petitioning for Ms. Johnson to be removed from Sunset Elementary School, Caddo Parish..Shreveport Louisiana.
The police and local news are involved.
