Puppy mills are horrific places that small dogs of most breeds are kept with no basic care, no love or gentle human contact solely for the purpose of breeding to sell the puppies at pet stores for profit. The female dogs are bred every 6 months until they can no longer produce and then are usually killed or sold at an auction. The males are bred until they die. This is no way to treat an animal that will love unconditionally and die for the one they love.
