USDA – Ban Licensing To Facilities For The Purpose Of Tiger Cubs Interacting With Humans

There is nothing cuter and more exciting than to look, see, touch and interact with a darling, cuddly tiger cub; an animal that in its adult form can be a deadly animal. Every animal lover can get wrapped up in the sweet tenderness and cuteness of a baby tiger, looking for special interactions like bottle feeding them, cuddling, petting and taking photos with these seemingly lovable “forest creatures.” What most people fail to realize is that tiger cubs that are held in facilities for such purposes secretly endure great abuse and cruelty.

These young animals are cage bound from the moment they are captured, often right from their moms prior to being weened. Many of the cubs are destined to be slaughtered for the exotic meat market, sold to the highest bidder with an unknown fate, killed for their fur or body parts, among other undue criminal actions. When you are being submissive to personal interactions with these darling beings, considered the mistreatment they endure in their cage-bound habitat and the possible fate they are destined to face.

We can no longer condone the mistreatment of tiger cubs and their “jailed environment” and need to take action to protect these animals. By signing and sharing this petition, you can take action to stop these human interactions with baby tigers by asking the USDA to ban all licensing of any facilities that allow such close encounters. A message is that we want to see an end to physical contact with big cats, to prohibit public handling of young or immature big cats, and to stop the separation of cubs from their mothers before the species-typical age of weaning.

USDA at aceast@aphis.usda.gov- We are asking you to ban licensing to facilities for the purpose of tiger cubs interacting with humans, Tiger cubs are too often removed from the natural comfort of their mothers at a very young age for the purpose of human interaction and monetary gain; a life sentence for most of abuse and cruel, caged treatment. We want to see that you put an end to physical contact with big cats, to prohibit public handling of young or immature big cats, and to stop the separation of cubs from their mothers before the species-typical age of weaning.
