Save Australian Native Wildlife by lowering the costs in Desexing Pet Cats

I have started this petition because i have noticed an increase in stray & homeless cats in my area. I have spoke to the RSPCA and Local Council about the problem and no one seems to know what do about the large number of stray cats in the Bundaberg region. I recently caught and took 14 stray & homeless cats to the RSPCA, thinking they would have a chance of finding a new home. However, to my horror the RSPCA said we have no more room and these cats will be put down this afternoon. I believe the costs of desexing a cat should be made affordable to low and middle income earners across Australia. Then there would be far fewer homeless and unwanted cats roaming our streets and drains. Finally, the cats have to kill to eat as nature intended but since cats are an introduced species into Australia then its our native wild life such as parrots, possums and reptiles that end up on the cats menu. Please help do something for all these poor animals, by highlighting this issue to the Australian government departments....Sign this petition. These are only a few of the strays roaming my street, I have counted fourty three cats so far. However, I am not catching and taking any more poor animals to the RSPCA to be disposed of like garbage.
