Save Niblick St Park

Keep Niblick St Park as the valuable green space it is for our local community. Families, mothers fathers and children, people walking their dogs, a quiet rest in the shade: we all need this green space as they are few and far between in Waverley.

We want Waverley Council to acquire this park from Sydney Water and maintain it as a green space.

To the Mayor of Waverley Council Sally Betts

Our local North Bondi community strongly urges you to ensure that Niblick Street Park remains a park. This green space is used on a daily basis by families, parents, carers and children, people with dogs, people using the swings or having a rest or reflect on a bench in the shade of the trees. This is a vital playground to our local area which is so lacking in green spaces.

The community relies on this park and it would be a terrible shame if it were sold to developers and see yet another green space disappear. This is a rare opportunity for the council to acquire a public reserve that can be maintained and secured for the future of the local community.

Yours sincerely

Update #19 years ago
Greetings all,

This Sunday 15 February 2015 at 5pm we will be meeting in the park. We are trying to get as many people as possible for a photo opportunity with the trees in the hope of saving them from being cut down in the next week or two!!

Our local and state Greens Candidates have been extremely supportive and will be holding a Press Conference to help raise awareness as we only have one more week to stop the pending removal of the trees.
