"Wally Gator," an adult alligator, approx. 10 - 12 feet in length, is living and confined to an area no bigger than a walk-in clothes closet - INDOORS - at the Quakertown Farmer's Market, 201 Station Rd., Quakertown, PA, "Just Stuff," Booth 260. When I saw the animal, he seemed to be attempting to change his position, but seemed unable for the lack of space. This is an indoor booth, he is in an encased area where people gawk to look through the glass. It is dirty, dark, and completely unnatural, unfit for any animal, particularly one of such a massive size.

The owner of this store exploits the animal further by selling t-shirts and other paraphernalia boasting "Wally Gator." There is a lockbox for donations to feed him with the lettering "Wally Gator Fan Club." Locals in the area claim that the alligator has been there for years. At least 13 that we know of, and alligators are expected to live 30-50 years. It is impossible to imagine this animal living this way for another minute, much less another 30+ years. He has likely not seen the sun since he was very young, has had no interaction whatsoever with other animals of any species, cannot swim, and lives a life of isolation and certain misery.
