CLEVELAND METROPARKS ZOO, RELEASE YOUR FIVE ELEPHANTS TO A SANCTUARY!

#1. ELEPHANTS DON'T BELONG IN ZOO'S!

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Holds FIVE of Our Elephants in Captivity.

The five elephants housed in Cleveland are distant relatives of East Africa's Kenyan herds. The females Kallie, Martika and Shenga, along with Willie the bull, all were born in Zimbabwe, in southern Africa, in the 1980s. Moshi, another female, was born in South Africa.
A few of the elephants knew each other before coming to Cleveland. Kallie, the newest arrival, once lived with Willie, Martika and Shenga in Florida. The details of their trip from Africa to the United States are less clear. They possibly came on a rescue flight from Zimbabwe in 1983, but whether they were orphaned by poachers is unknown.

"The elephants came in through a private owner," said Kuhar. We don't have records and haven't been able to come up with much. It would be a cool story to find out. But we just don't know."
Kallie’s arrival is somewhat of a reunion, considering she once lived with three of the Zoo’s other elephants, Willy, Martika and Shenga, in Florida. Willy, Kallie, Martika and Shenga were all part of a massive privately owned herd of elephants at eccentric millionaire Arthur Jones’ property “Jumbo Lair” in Ocala, Florida.
Martika was the first to leave Jumbo Lair in 1984, sold to another private owner. Shenga left in 1986. But Willy and Kallie were sold together in1989 to the now defunct Four Bears Water Park in Michigan. They stayed together through their next move, to a private entertainment company called Zoomotion, working in various capacities until 1998 when Willy went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Kallie started spending part of the year at the Philadelphia Zoo in 1999 and moved there full-time in 2004.

The Philadelphia Zoo decided to close its elephant exhibit, and in 2009 sent Kallie to live at the International Conservation Center. Now she has the chance to reunite with Willy, her companion of 15 years, for the first time since 1998.

OKAY, ENOUGH! IT'S PAST TIME THEY WERE RELEASE TO THEIR FOREVER HOME!

THESE FIVE ELEPHANTS, Deserve a comfortable life at a sanctuary NOW, where she would have the opportunity to roam acres of natural habitat, play in a pond, forage for fresh vegetation, befriend other elephants, and enjoy a full, healthy, and enriched life.

WE URGE THE CLEVELAND METROPARKS ZOO TO RELEASE THESE INNOCENT ANIMALS TO A REPUTABLE ELEPHANT SANCTUARY SUCH AS TES..... (TENNESSEE ELEPHANT SANCTUARY).
