Demand Nebraska Prosecute Woman Accused of Drowning Puppy in Airport Toilet

In January 2015, a woman named Cynthia Anderson reportedly tried to fly out of the Central Nebraska Regional Airport with a two-week-old Doberman Pinscher puppy in her carry-on luggage. When airport security caught her, they refused to let her board. Another passenger reportedly saw Anderson enter a ladies' restroom with her carry-on. After she emerged, she got through security successfully. However, soon after she left the restroom, someone found the drowned body of a Doberman puppy in a toilet.

Anderson was arrested and charged with felony animal cruelty.

If you'd like to urge the County Attorney for Hall County, Nebraska, Jack Zitterkopf, to prosecute this case to the fullest extent possible, please sign this petition. Care2 will ensure your signatures and messages are delivered to Mr. Zitterkopf for his consideration as this case moves forward.

Dear Mr. Zitterkopf:

Those who have signed this petition, like many other members of the public, were distressed and horrified to learn about the recent drowning of a 2-week-old puppy in a toilet at the Central Nebraska Regional Airport. A woman named Cynthia Anderson has been arrested for this crime after a witness reported seeing her enter the restroom with her belongings and leaving shortly thereafter. Just before entering the restroom a puppy had been discovered in her carry-on luggage. After her visit to the restroom, she reportedly cleared airport screening without the puppy.

The puppy's body was allegedly found dead in a toilet in that restroom soon after Anderson emerged.

We applaud the fact that Anderson has been charged with felony animal cruelty. We submit our signatures to this petition to urge you to pursue the maximum punishment available in Nebraska for this heartbreaking crime.

We thank you for giving this matter the attention it deserves.
