Will You Be the One To Bring Prayer Back In Schools?

In the United States, public schools are banned from conducting religious observances such as prayer. The legal basis for this prohibition is the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, which requires that...

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...*

Why has the goverment taken this freedom from the people to be able to meet and pray outside of lesson time to unite together, in prayer, as a free willed choice on school grounds?  Children who would like to pray for their teachers, fellow students, our country and it's leaders as well as for their home life and well being.  This world we live has drastically changed over the last 2 decades.  And so has the pressures and issues that we are faced today drastically different.  This world needs prayer so why has the free will choice for students to be able to prayer together at school in issue?

Well it is not an issue if it is done before classes, during lunch or after school.  Will you be the one to bring prayer back to school?

"Regarding the Free Exercise Clause, the courts have consistently stated that students' setting forth of religious views through prayer cannot be forbidden unless such activity can be shown to cause disruption in the school, yet it remains beyond the scope of the state to require such practice.[10] Thus, anyone is allowed to pray in schools in the United States, as long as it is not officially sponsored by the school and it does not disrupt others from doing their work."*

"Moreover, not all religious speech that takes place in the public schools or at school-sponsored events is governmental speech. Santa Fe, 530 U.S. at 302. For example, "nothing in the Constitution ... prohibits any public school student from voluntarily praying at any time before, during, or after the school day," and students may pray with fellow students during the school day on the same terms and conditions that they may engage in other conversation or speech. Santa Fe, 530 U.S. at 313."*                                              *Wikipedia®

Dear Ladies and Gentleman of Congress,

We petition as citizens and people of the United States of America to hear our voice to legalize prayer and bible reading in the public school system.  If we are able to pledge our allegiance to this country as one nation under God and we would like to be as such, One Nation Under God.  Many brave men and women that defend and have even died defending this great nation proudly pledge the same allegiance, yet God is not permitted in the very place our children are educated and spend most of their productive day.  Prayer in the public school system should be allowed as an optional freedom of choice for individual as long as it does not interfere with classroom education instruction.  America is said to be a land of freedom so do not limit that freedom of choice when it comes down to people choosing to unite in prayer for our nation, the people, it's leaders, teacher, students, parents and youth. Let America, the land of the free not stand in the way of freedom of choice when it comes to an individual or collective acts of prayer.

The world and the people around us are rapidly changing.  The values and principals of the society and culture from two decades ago are not the same values and principles we see being exhibited today.  As a society, the more we press forward the more we move from God.  Our nation was founded and built on biblical principles and values. The culture of this nation is neglecting to reverence God.  As a result moral structure and values are being corrupted and corroded by "Acceptable Society". There is darker and heinous acts of crime and violence in our country then we ourselves are even ashamed to admit.  Allowing for pray and bible reading in public schools can bring conviction of the hearts of the wicked, salvation to the lost, hope to the hopeless and a much needed light to many that see no way but to give up and stop trying.  Prayer can bring forth healing, help and guidance to many in need.  As long is prayer and bible reading will not interfere for the school education learning structure then why not let the people have the free choice in a nation, on a land, of the free.
Out of all the great things our nation has done or will do, how it would sadden men to say that if our great nation would fail at anything, it would be that we failed to pray.
