STOP BUILDER’S FROM BUILDING ON FARM LAND, and around farm lands, preserve Henderson County Agriculture

A developer purchased family owned farm land and wants to build a small subdivision on what was once and still is active for farming. My concerns are with tractors, and other farm equipment in the county will cause a conflict with any potential buyers of the homes in the subdivision will create a negative impact on the farmers, and possibly complaints to local law enforcement agencies for noise disturbance. Even though county law exempts noise ordinance to farmers. We offered to buy land back for more then it was paid. I want to preserve our farmers rights and continue to let farming and agriculture remain positive in Henderson County. We are trying to preserve the land for future farmers, and would like to see the land preserved for farming. If it is still approved for them to build the possible new homeowners need to be aware of heavy farm equipment from all sides of there development, and with no noise exemption be aware tractors may and will be in fields throughout the duration of the night when it's cooler out. Please don't take our lands and build on it preventing our farmers from producing revenue to support the local community with local products, grown and supplied from our local farmers.

Update #15 years ago
The builder is now sending contractors up private driveways trying to access land to start building,he has been informed that he isn’t allowed to use for easements, or right aways. Contractors don’t want to start due to having to make a road to access property, once they start on road this will cause heavy traffic delays in Henderson County and in a school zone. If he starts during annual school year this will be a nightmare for all locals.
