You can be sure that I share your interest in this regard and appreciate knowing your thoughts.  As you know, H.R. 2210 would prohibit computer assisted remote hunting of animals.

H.R. 2210 has been referred to the House Judiciary Committee where it awaits further consideration.  Because of your interest in this matter, and in an effort to be of all possible assistance to you, I have taken the liberty of sharing your support for this legislation with my colleagues on the committee.  As they continue to review H.R. 2210, please know they will keep your thoughts in mind.

Update 6/26/11 A hunter pays a fee in exchange for the opportunity to kill an animal with little or no chance of escape. The animal may be confined by fences, tethered, or launched into the air as the hunter stands ready to kill the animal. Last night an Animal Planet special aired footage from a new Humane Society of the United States undercover investigation into captive hunts -- facilities where exotic animals such as a kangaroo or an endangered antelope can be shot for the right price. Our investigators uncovered shocking new evidence that animals are even being drugged with tranquilizers. Fortunately, Congress is considering a bill, H.R. 2210, that cracks down on this cruel industry where exotic animals are shot for trophies, and we need your support.
