Address challenges with Public Health D.I.S

Back in 2015, a few Public Health experts, educators, and activists created a pilot project to address the concerns of high-risk MSM of color who engage anonymous and unprotected sex on websites. We asked questions about HIV, STI, the process of getting tested and getting in care. The respondents identified and criticized D.I.S ( disease intervention specialists ) who targeted the websites anonymously and unprofessionally resulting in those individuals not successfully getting into primary healthcare or tested. Out of 2,000 respondents, 67% of them stated that they found D.I.S untrustworthy and them not gettting into care or tested was in response to them not following up through outreach efforts. The project BAREBACK ASSERTIVE RISK REDUCTION EDUCATION ( BARRE ) A project founded by Real Talk Inc has proven to be better successful in identifying high-risk clients and getting them linked directly with testing, treatment and into primary care. This is about addressing the challenges HEAD ON and insuring that those voices all over are heard and that their concerns are met with precision, action and change in the way this process is handled.
