Dolphin Sanctuary and Rehabilitation Centre in the Turks & Caicos Island

As the public agains visits dolphin entertainment facilities, there is a need for a safe place for those displaced dolphins to reside.  We are working toward establishing a Dolphin Sanctuary and Rehabilitation Centre in the Turks & Caicos Islands for just such a purpose.  In fact, the goal of the Centre will be to rehabilitate as many of the captive dolphins sent there so they can be released back into the wild, as was done in the early 1990s for the last three captive dolphins from the United Kingdom.  For those dolphins that cannot be rehabilitated and released, the Centre will provide a safe home for them to live out their natural lives.  Please help us show the local government that such a facility is needed and would be a positive move by the Turks & Caicos Islands in protecting marine mammals.
