A six-week-old bear cub had been seized by the police and was in need of a new home.
She was very weak, undernourished and could hardly move. She had been separated
from her mother much too early, and consequently had virtually no antibodies.
The cub, just six weeks old, had been bought by a family at just three weeks,
and then kept illegally in their flat. Sanctuary did not know if little Ema –
would survive at all!It was touch and go for several days, but the little cub is doing better now.
The carers are looking after her round the clock. However, the new arrival means unexpected extra costs
