Fix Cave Rock Tunnel

On July 10, 2014 at 950AM a man was struck by a commercial truck while riding his  bicycle through the Nevada Cave Rock Tunnel. The rider, Clarence M. Aldridge 48, was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center by Care Flight where he suffered severe injuies and had to fight for his life. This man is still hospitalized and will have to live with the injuries for the rest of his life, some injuries leaving him unable to ever ride again. This great man is my uncle.

Cave Rock Tunnel lights to indicate that there is a cyclist in the tunnel have been provided but from what I understand have been broken since 2010. What is it going to take to get this small issue taken care of? Will we have to start losing lives to get Mark Amodei to spend a few dollars to have this warning light fixed? Tahoe is a major tourist location. Many of these tourist enjoy site seeing on bicycles. Please sign my petition to repair these lights so another family will not have to suffer as mine have.

Cave Rock Tunnel needs its cyclist awarness lights fixed! This repair is long overdue for this for some time now. Lets fight to keep our familes and those who love and enjoy the scenery that Tahoe has to offer safe. Please help me by raising your voice until Amodei listens. Please Commisioner Amodei dont let my uncle and my families pain and suffering be in vain.
