Tell Coca-Cola to Stop Sponsoring Slave Labor!

Coca-Cola is sponsoring the 2022 World Cup, to be held in the Arab country of Qatar. An investigation from The Guardian found that Qatar is using Nepalese and North Korean slaves to build an infrastructure for the World Cup. 4,000 migrant workers are expected to die over the course of construction.

Over the summer, Nepalese workers -- most of them young men -- died at a rate of one a day. Most died from heart attacks, and others from heart failure and workplace accidents. Some slave laborers report that they haven't been paid for months, and have had their salaries retained to keep them from running away. Others report that their passports have been taken away.

FIFA proudly lists Coca-Cola as a 2022 World Cup sponsor. If the soda giant pulled their sponsorship, Qatar would feel considerable pressure to stop using slave labor. A sports event isn't worth thousands of lost lives. Please sign the petition to urge Coca-Cola to pull their sponsorship until Qatar stops using slave labor!
