Support Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary to Avoid Closure

The Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary is located in Scio, Oregon and is crucial to the area.  However, they are currently facing foreclosure of their facility, which means that many needy animals would left homeless.  The name of the facility derives from a lighthouse that was built in 1872, with its beam guiding those in need to the protection of safe harbor afforded by Yaquina Bay in Newport, therefore preventing disaster and the loss of life. Now this sanctuary is in need of help and protection against closure and foreclosure.

The sanctuary got its start in 2002 as a means to guide animals in need to the safety of calm waters. They provide shelter for cows, pigs, llamas, chickens, turkeys, goats, geese, horses, rabbits and more.  Where will all these animals go if the sanctuary is forced to shut down? They would all be displaced.

As stated by a spokesperson for the sanctuary, Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary is committed to providing a safe haven for these farm animals, many of whom have come from abuse past situations. Without the help of others, they will no longer be able to care for these worthy creatures. All animals deserve the chance to lead a life free from the threat of harm or exploitation, and this is something that only farm sanctuaries like Lighthouse can give farmed animals.

Help us in encouraging State Representatives to consider supporting the sanctuary and keeping it open to do its crucial work in the community.  You can help by signing and sharing this petition to ensure these animals will not lose their happy home.

Scio, Or Representative Sherrie Sprenger – The Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary is called home to many needy animals and without your help and support, all these beings will be left homeless.  Please ensure you help this facility through funding and support so that all these cows, pigs, llamas, chickens, turkeys, goats, geese, horses, rabbits and more.  Do not allow the facility to lose its home through foreclosure and ensure these precious beings will not lose their happy homes and be homeless.
