Keep the Metals Program (Professional Crafts: Jewelry) at College of The Albemarle (COA)

College of The Albemarle is planning to close the metals program in Manteo, NC. This program has enabled area residents to create their own handcrafted jewelry businesses and find careers in the arts. Please join with me to urge the College of the Albemarle to keep this successful program.

Dear Dr. Deitemeyer, Trustee Chair O’Neal, Vice Chair Harris, and Board Members,


We request that you reconsider your plans to close the metals program on the Dare County Campus of the College of the Albemarle.


This program has enabled area residents to create their own handcrafted jewelry businesses and to find careers in the arts.


Please keep this program open.

Keep the Metals Program at COA currently has over 300 supporters. We are a 1/3 of our way to the goal of 1000. Thanks for all the great work. Let's keep going!
