Consecration of the Nation of Canada by Roman Catholic Bishops to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

We the undersigned do hereby petition all the bishops of Canada, in unity with one another, to perform a solemn act of consecration of the nation of Canada to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In 1931 and 1938 the bishops of Portugal consecrated that country to the Immaculate Heart with three noteworthy and miraculous consequences: 1) A Catholic renaissance including a marked increase in vocations (a nearly fourfold increase to the priesthood in a decade), 2) miracles of political and social reform and 3) miracles of peace enabling Portugal to avoid the consequences of both the Spanish Civil War and World War ll.
