Save the 200 year old Sycamore tree

In my township there is a huge, beautiful and majestic 200 year old Sycamore tree that is scheduled to be cut down by the Pennsylvania Deaprtment of Transportation (PENDOT) to replace an existing bridge. The case has been made by officals that this is unavoidable but the reality of the situation is that it certainly is avoidable. The existing bridge could be rebuilt, rather than replaced,or the new bridge could be shifted several feet to the downstream side thereby avoiding the tree destruction. Please help in my fight to save this landmark by signing my petition.
