SAVE THE PEOPLE WHO SAVE ANIMALS

Approximately 4,000,000 cats and dogs are euthanized in "shelters" each year in the United States alone. Many animals are abandoned and left to a fate of starvation or to perish under the wheels of a car. Alone, afraid, starving...with no one to love them.

The good souls who open their hearts and homes to these animals frequently know what this is like. They are often poor, living paycheck-to-paycheck, or on Social Security, or Disability. Empathy with another living creature and the ability to show compassion is the most noble quality shown by mankind.

These same persons are often prosecuted and charged with hoarding and abuse. In this world, it seems that it is a crime to have compassion.

The REAL criminals are those who rape, torture, and murder animals. The ones who cook kittens on barbeques or in microwaves, shoot their neighbor's dog, beat an animal to death, starve them, or skin rabbits in their backyard.

The man who lives down the street who rescues two female cats who are ready to give birth and ends up with eighteen is NOT guilty of a crime.

Stop persecuting those who take in animals in need. Until every shelter is a no-kill shelter...there simply is no where else for these innocent creatures to go.

Bless them...don't prosecute them.
