JUSTICE FOR LAYLA - CHARLEVILLE - QLD - AUSTRALIA

Layla was a dear little dog aged 9 months old who was surrendered to Maranoa Animal Rescue. A woman (Tegan) then fostered her and behind our backs gave her to another woman and when we had Layla booked in for a microchip she was nowhere to be found.
We then found Layla with this Tracey woman who claimed she would love her and foster forms were sent yet none returned even though many calls were made and not answered…Tracey then said she could not care for Layla and we said we would take her back but she INSISTED she could care for her until the 4th January 2016….Texts were sent every couple of days and she told us that Layla was happy and doing fine.
When we went to collect Layla on the 4th January we were told she slipped the chain and ran away. We knew something was wrong as why didn’t Tracey contact us immediately.....Her friend Glenda who has constantly abused us also verified that she went with Tracey looking for Layla fulling knowing that she was dead...Glenda has become extremely violent to us in trying to silence us from seeking the truth.
I contacted the pound and found out she had been euthanized for killing sheep….We have since found out there were NO sheep at the property.
We were in deep shock as Layla was supposed to be with Tracey not at a property witha man called Joel who we considered to be a danger to Layla and his partner who has had NUMEROUS animal abuse complaints about her to MAR and the DPI in Charleville.
Why were we lied to – why was Layla seized and MAR not told – was she shot or given the green dream and who made the call and where is the information about the dead sheep.
MAR will continue to seek the truth as we believe she was beaten and if we had been told she was in the pound would have seen the injuries.
