Demand that President Trump Resign

BE IT RESOLVED by the U.S. Citizens (who are eligible to vote) that they demand that President Donald J. Trump RESIGN immediately from the U.S. Office of the Presidency! Enough is enough when it comes to incompetency, disregard of the rule of law, and disdain towards promoting the general welfare of all Americans.

1. Whereas there are numerous requests for the impeachment of President Donald Trump, due to numerous allegations of conflicts of interest, obstruction of justice, corruption, criminal casino affiliation with the "Mafia" according to the Australian Government in denying him a license, unwillingness to uphold the rule of law, violations of the Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution, and violation of his Oath of Office to preserve, protect, and defend the U.S. Constitution, among other malfeasance and misdemeanors; AND the U.S. Congress, made up of Republican-Libertarian party affiliates who keep enabling his unethical and immoral conduct in administering his responsibility as President of the United States of America, there is no good faith effort on the part of the Republican Congress to consider impeachment by the House of Representatives and indictment of the President by the Senate, despite an overwhelming public outcry. Thus, it is up to the People to rise up and call for President Trump to resign due to his failure to put the interests of the American People first over self-enrichment and other profit. There is no confidence in his executive abilities and his complete absence of good faith efforts.

Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!

2. Whereas, in carrying out his responsibilities and duties as Commander-in-Chief and the chief executive in charge of the White House, President Trump has repeatedly attempted to ignore the rule of law required of him to protect State secrets by permitting many of his White House staff to handle classified information without the proper and timely clearances required under law. For example, his daughter Ivanka Kushner-Trump, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, White House Counsel Donald McGahn, Communications Director Hope Hicks, and other key personnel, not to mention the recently departed Rob Porter, Secretary to the Chief of Staff, have not received full clearance to handle Secret and Top Secret classified information in violation of 18 U.S.C. section 798. They are unauthorized to have access to such material; and "whoever knowingly and willfully communicates, furnishes, transmits, or otherwise makes available classified information to an unauthorized person is in violation of criminal law and is to be fined under Title 18 or imprisoned not more than ten year or both." The current Republican President has persistently allowed this to happen with impunity.

Therefore, President Donald must RESIGN!

3. Whereas, under Article 1, Section 9, Clause 8, the current Republican President is repeatedly abusing his powers by violating the Emoluments Clause. To quote, "No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State." The simplest definition is that an emolument is compensation for services or from employment or an office. It has also been said to mean "advantage" or "benefit." The word comes from emolumentum, which is Latin for thorough "profit" or "gain." It also can encompass an advantage/benefit to a corporation formed by a foreign state; can include more than compensation for services; can apply to benefits in connection to arms-length property exchanges; and gifts to family members.

The following are a few violations by President Trump under the Emoluments Clause:

a. An investigation by the organization Global Witness in November 2016 accused Trump of making millions of dollars by allowing Colombian drug cartels and others to launder money through his Panama development, which includes condos, a casino and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.

b. Foreign governments are enriching the current Republican President, and changing their own laws to make him happy. For example, (1) In Indonesia, a local government plans to build a road to shorten the drive between the main airport on the island of Bali and the new high-end Trump resort and golf course; (2) in Panama, the country's federal government intervened to ensure a sewer system around a 70-story Trump skyscraper would be completed; and (3) in other countries, governments have donated public land, approved permits and eased environmental regulations for Trump-branded developments, creating a slew of potential conflicts as foreign leaders make investments that can be seen as gifts or attempts to gain access to the American president through his sprawling business empire.

c. In addition, during the election campaign, when then-candidate Trump proposed a ban on Muslims entering the United States, Doğan Group founder and owner Aydin Doğan reportedly tried to break the Trump Organization contract for a multimillion-dollar branding deal with the Doğan Group, When President Erdoğan called for Trump's name to be removed from the towers, he dropped this demand after Trump praised Erdoğan's response to the July 2016 coup attempt. In an interview in 2016, the current Republican President admitted to having a conflict of interest in Turkey, bragging accordingly: "I have a little conflict of interest because I have a major, major building in Istanbul. It's a tremendously successful job. It's called Trump Towers—two towers, instead of one. Not the usual one. It's two."

d. The current Republican President has at least 28 foreign properties and partnerships that generate money from foreign officials and trigger a violation of the Emoluments Clause. Beyond the 28 foreign properties are a series of other deals that could expand the list of potential sources of foreign income, especially from Russia, Saudi Arabia, and China.

e. The current Republican President's actions reflect placing a priority on his personal business interests at the expense of the integrity of his presidency and the interests of the American people.

All of the above is what is called "graft."

Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!

4. Whereas, since the current Republican President of the United States, highly suspected of being a pedophile, a known misogynist ("pussy grabber"), serial sexual addict, and outright bully, be it proclaimed that the 45th President is unable to legally discharge the powers and duties for fear of potentially being blackmailed and for lacking moral and ethical fortitude. He blatantly violates his oath of office "to faithfully execute the responsibilities and duties of office of the President of the United States, and to the best of his ability, to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States" due to his moral turpitude. It is unacceptable to dignify his sexual conduct as normal and acceptable behavior when, in fact, he has the reputation of a string of infidelities, of sexually abusing women, of long-term sexual scandals with a porn star and a Playboy playmate, not to mention the profane Hollywood Access tapes in which he expressed it is his privilege "to grab women by the pussy." Women who have come forward as victims of his sexual abuse include his former wife Ivanka Trump (whose sworn deposition called him a rapist), Jill Harth, Jane Doe (13 at the time of her alleged rape with facilitation by pedophile Jeffrey Epstein), Jessica Leeds, Rachel Crooks, Temple Taggart McDowell, Mindy McGillivray, Natasha Stoynaff, Cassandra Searles, Stephanie Clifford (the famous Stormy Daniels) and Karen McDougal to name a few who have come forward with their assertions. (He clearly is in violation of the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (Article II, Section 1, Clause 6).)

Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!

5. Whereas, on May 1, 2016, President Trump implied that the U.S. Constitution is archaic. "There are archaic rules and maybe at some point, we're going to have to take those rules on because for the good of the nation things are going to have to be different," when he commented on how the Congress conducts business and the U.S. Constitution. It is his practice to confuse and to deflect an audience's attention in order to hide what he is really thinking. Whether or not the current Republican President was complaining about the rules of Congress or the U.S. Constitution itself, Article 1, Section 5 of the Constitution says that "each house may determine the rules of its proceedings," which includes the filibuster. The current Republican President chooses to challenge everything that does not pave the way for him to become a dictator. Furthermore, he fails to accept that the U.S. Congress is not beholden to him.

Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!

6. Whereas President Trump has a variety of conflicts of interest, including the following:

a. Over ten cases challenging Trump's labor practices are pending before the National Labor Relations Board which has two vacancies, both to be filled by him.

b. The Internal Revenue Service is auditing the current Republican President, who picked a new chief who announced he would not release his tax returns.

c. The Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC is located in the Old Post Office and leased from the General Services Administration (GSA); now the current Republican President is both landlord and tenant (an obvious conflict), and is in violation of the lease, which bars elected officials from sharing in any benefit. Payola must be involved to get a contracting officer to ignore or waive this legal requirement.

d. The current Republican President owes almost a billion dollars to foreign banks and has selected the Treasury Secretary, the former financial chairman of the Trump election campaign, who would likely conceal transnational crimes that include money laundering, by frustrating the criminal investigation of the Russian conspiracy to influence the 2016 presidential election that have occurred, including, but not limited to, misusing the financial system. The Treasury Secretary's oversight of the FinCen agency has to potential of undermining the development of evidence needed by the Special Counsel's criminal, counterintelligence investigation.

e. Moreover, the current Republican President has appointed numerous departmental heads (but not all), giving them the mandate to carry out further acts to gut and/or cripple the laws that they are statutorily responsible for administering by ignoring them or improvising methods to circumvent their implementation—the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Interior, the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Department of State, the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Financial Consumer Protection Agency, and the like.

Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!

7. Whereas President Trump has attacked the respected news media of "fake news" while promoting FOX News as "real news" despite the fact that FOX News is known as a propaganda machine. He attacks freedom of the press, aside from defamation laws, that is protected under the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights. While the free press is subject to defamation laws, FOX News is free to misinform, spinning opinions as fact, propagandize by defaming the opposition.

Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!'

8. Whereas, President Trump on July 27, 1916, called on Russia to find Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's e-mails, inviting a foreign country to interfere further with our election process. As he said, "Russia, if you're listening," knowing fully well the Russians were involved, he invited them to interfere by telling them to find those "missing e-mails". It is not Russia who is entrusted with investigating American citizens; it is the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation.

It was revealed on February 16, 2018, that 13 Russians, including a businessman close to Vladimir Putin were indicted in an elaborate plot to interfere in the 2016 U.S. presidential elections through social media propaganda aimed, in part, at helping current Republican President and harming the prospects of his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton.
Though the criminal case does not allege that any American knowingly participated, it nonetheless alleges a vast and wide-ranging Russian effort to sway political opinion during the presidential primaries and general election. The then Republican Presidential candidate legitimized this participation on July 27, 2016. According to the indictments, all this conspiracy was to help the current Republican President undermine American Democracy, conspiracy to defraud the United States of America, spreading distrust towards Hillary Clinton, and to sow distrust in the American political system in general. Without mincing words, the current Republican President conspired with Russia to weaken the integrity of our political system, usurping the People's right to elect their legitimate candidate for the Office of the Presidency. The popular vote exceeded over three million for First Lady and Secretary Clinton whereas the Electoral College of States controlled by Republican Governors delivered the Electoral College votes to the current Republican President. Keep in mind that members of the Electoral College are selected by the governor of a State.

Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!

9. Whereas, as noted briefly above, President Trump's moral turpitude is extraordinary, His conduct is contrary to community standards of justice, honesty, and good morals, inherently base, vile, and depraved. The accepted rules of morality and the duties owed between persons (such as women) or to society at large (such as reversing or proposing reversal of laws that protect society—the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the taking of Public lands/parks) in general.

Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!

10. Whereas, after the indictments of February 16, 2018, were made public, it becomes clear that the "secret" Trump Towers meeting in June 2016 between Russian participants and Donald Trump, Jr., Paul Manaford, Jared Kushner, Rob Goldstone, and others suspected participants, who were willing to exchange favors for dirt on candidate Hillary Clinton. It was the same month that Russian operatives launched rallies and propaganda to benefit the election of the current Republican President. In fact, the Russians launched two campaigns—the social media with fake news and fraud and the Trump campaign with Manaford, Flynn, and Gates as agents on behalf of the Kremlin.

Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!

11. Whereas President Trump and his appointment at the U.S. Department of State, Secretary Rex Tillerson, have refused to implement the recent sanctions against Russia: Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAASTA), which was passed by Congress to punish Russia for its interference in the 2016 US election, as well as alleged human rights violations, the annexation of Crimea and ongoing military operations in eastern Ukraine. The Trump administration is not taking the necessary measures to implement the new sanctions to protect our country and our elections which start in March 2018.
Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!
12. Whereas the U.S. Department of Justice via the Special Counsel are investigating Russian money that was given to the National Rifle Association (more than $36 million at last count) with the current Republican President being the largest beneficiary. The NRA spent more than $21 million to help him--$9.6 million on ads and other Trump materials and another $12 million in attacking Hillary Clinton.
Moreover, in view of the recent mass shooting of students in Parkland, Florida, the current Republican President shows no sign of dealing with the gun-control issue, in particular the use of AR-15 to kill Americans. Not once did he mention guns; but he did mention that the problem was a mental-health issue. Cynically, he mentioned mental health as being the problem after the mass school shootings in Florida as well as the Texas church mass shooting after he signed a bill into law on February 27, 2017, making it easier for the mentally ill to purchase guns.

Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!

13. Whereas President Trump returned ownership of two seized Russian compounds, in New York State and Maryland, that where closed in December 2016 as part of sanctions imposed against the Russian government for its alleged meddling in the 2016 presidential election. This action is in clear defiance of implementing and enforcing sanctions against the Kremlin.
Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!
14. Whereas the current Republican President defiles the separation of church and state with rulings that favor tax payer monies to fund religious schools and facilities. In addition, he has fueled discord between Christians, Muslims, and between LGBTQ on religious grounds, and the like.
Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!
15. Whereas, in view of item 8 above, the current Republican President is taking no action to protect our country against the ongoing threat of Russian meddling in our domestic and international affairs. This is a dereliction of duty and potentially treasonous!

Therefore, President Trump must RESIGN!

16. Ad infinitum. Enough is enough!
