2012 Olympic Site Cats at risk of Starvation and Death

Target:
Animal Lovers
Sponsored by:
Please support the Celia Hammond Animal Trust in their bid to rescue feral and domestic stray cats which are at huge risk of being crushed during demolition work, or starving to death, on the Olympic site.  186 Cats and kittens have already been rescued by the Trust. We urge the Olympic Delivery Authority to allow us access onto the major part of the site to allow them to bring the remaining cats to safety.  Rescue work is carried out at night so demolition work on the site is not delayed in any way.

For more information on the plight of the cats at the Olympic Site visit http://www.celiahammond.org/ and click on the 'Latest News' page.

How can we call ourselves human beings if these poor defenceless animals are left to suffer just because of "progress*. Where is the compassion for these beautiful living creatures that have a right to a decent life, just like us. Show you care!!! Brilliant news about Blackjack XXX

What harm can possibly be done by rescuing cats when work has stopped for the day. Animals should not be put at risk for the sake of building work that half of London don't even want!

These cats are the result of human neglect. Please let CHAT fullfil its mission so that the kitties will be safe and find new homes. Every living thing deserves a chance.

I cannot understand why access at night is not allowed when it does not prevent work from continuing but could save an animals life and give it a chance of a better one.

I very strongly support any action by Celia Hammond to rescue more cats from the Olympic site in London. Please allow further access so as to save these lives.

We are not a third world country and it is beneath us not to allow aid to any animal we are putting at risk. Surely it is the duty of the government and/or the developers to assist in every way they can to protect these cats from the dangers they are being subjected to.

Any work of this type should be carried out with consideration for all involved and this includes the animals. CHAT should be allowed the access that they need to rescue all stray and feral cats.

I beg you to allow the cat recsue work to continue, this building should not be at the expense of the animals living around the site. They deserve a chanmce of life.
