Stop Sarah Palin Show on Discovery Channel
The Discovery Channel / The Learning Channel is considering production of a Sarah Palin reality television show. Palin wants $1.2 million per episode. Please tell Discovery NO! Please do not give another platform to such an intolerant and divisive individual to broadcast her hateful ideas. The Discovery Channel is known for quality educational programming -- please keep it that way!
We the undersigned wish to voice our strong opposition to the Discovery Channel's / The Learning Channel's possible production of a program starring Sarah Palin.
Ms. Palin has proven herself to be an intolerant and divisive public figure. Most recently, she published the names of her political opponents along with a graphic of a rifle scope's "cross hairs." She should not be rewarded with yet another platform to broadcast her hateful rhetoric and further divide the nation.
While the addition of Ms. Palin to your programming lineup might bring about some quick ratings, they will undoubtedly be fleeting. Your network, however, will remain tarnished long afterward.
Please remain true to the Discovery Channel's reputation for quality educational entertainment. In the end, Ms. Palin will only damage the reputations of your network and its sponsors. Thank you for reading, and for considering the thoughts of your audience.
