Starbucks Corporation has disclosed the 600 stores that it is planning on shutting down, and the store located at 107 S Cedar Ridge Dr in Duncanville, Texas, is one of them.
The goal of this petition is to show the Starbucks Board of Directors how much this store means to so many people in the city of Duncanville, and to possibly change their minds about closing it down.
P.S. Yes, i know there is a Starbucks in the Tom Thumb. But that is so completely different. Why would we want to go hang out in a grocery store? Besides, that Starbucks store is owned by Tom Thumb, not by Starbucks.

We the undersigned have created this petition to request that the Starbucks Corporation Board of Directors change their minds about their decision to close down the Starbucks store located at 107 S Cedar Ridge Dr in Duncanville, Texas.
This store is very important to so many people in the city of Duncanville. It has become a popular hangout site for many Duncanville residents of all ages. Its close proximity to Duncanville High School also makes it a very popular place in the teenage population. This store means a lot to the community of Duncanville. Everyone knows where it is, and without a second thought most people will tell you that it is one of the most well-known locations in Duncanville. This store is very close to the hearts of the employees as well as the customers. There are countless Starbucks "regulars" who come in every day for their coffee, and these people will have to change their daily routine after the store closes. Closing this store will not only upset the customers, but the employees who don't get transferred will be out of a job. All in all, the closing of this store will greatly affect the people of Duncanville.
This store is a part of the Duncanville community, a community that is centered around being together and enjoying the time spent together. Starbucks plays a big role in being together, and the people of Duncanville would hate to see it go.

Duncanville Starbucks is one of the only reasons I still live in Duncanville. It is clean, staffed with wonderful people who know my name and my drink, and one of the only places to hang out in town. When Starbucks opened, it forced the Valentine Coffee Company out of business, since it opened in the same shopping center parking lot. We were sad then, but Starbucks quickly became a great place to drink coffee and socialize. I spent my entire college career going to Starbucks at least 3 or 4 times a week. I have spent so much time sitting in the store, drinking my coffee and learning lines for plays, studying, having wonderful conversations with friends, and enjoying life. This is what Starbucks is about. The rest of Duncanville has absolutely no place like this. It's one of the only reasons I still live there. It's not JUST about coffee. I can make my own coffee at home. It's about community, something that is so quickly fading in our society. This is one of the few places left to experience community in our town. Please, listen to the opinions of the people who actually frequent this location and keep it open!!

Every weekend I get my haircut in the nearby shopping center and stop by for a Vanilla Latte. It's a little thing that I look forward to and truly enjoy. I enjoy the Starbucks on Cedar Ridge all the time, I've made friends with some of the employees, and even get to randomly see my own old high school friends there and have a blast catching up with them over coffee. I think there's a Starbucks on Camp Wisdom... take that one all you like, but leave this one please!!!

Who cares! By doing this you might as well just say keep them all open! How do you think other people in other states feel? It wont help at all doing this. Plus theres still a starbucks in Tom Thumb that they had made about 2 months ago so just go get your freaking coffee there! Or buy some of their coffee that they sell in the stores so you can make it yourself. Thanks for reading! =]
