We as Americans have had enough! It is time more is done to stop those who run puppy mills in Indiana, as well as any other state. This is a disgrace and a black mark on the U.S. and its beliefs regarding humanity and Compassion for animals (who can not fend for themselves against humans), and is all done for the sake of almighty U.S. Dollars. It is time to do more to shut down puppy mills and the cruelty therein, and time to hold those who are responsible for this abuse "feet to the fire," and get serious. Take bolder action, please. Please do more to go after and seriously prosecute those responsible. Thank you for your time and attention.

Puppy Mills and Backyard Breeders need to be closed down. We have a very serious problem with abused, abandoned, homeless dogs and millions of healthy and adoptable dogs are being euthanased and gassed each year because of this crisis. Much of the problem stems from the Puppy Mills and Backyard Breeders who supply pet shops with cute and fluffy puppies who are sold to ignorant citizens who cannot see past the cuteness and lose interest in training a growing dog. This is extremely sad and the dog is the only being who is hurt in the process. Also, many dogs in the care of puppy mills and backyard breeders are given very little care in terms of medical, grooming, flea, worm treatment, socialisation with people and other dogs, shelter from the elements. Many are sick, have wounds, are bred over and over again until they are seen as “useless” and either killed or abandoned. Many of these dogs are in such poor shape that they are too emotionally and physically scarred to be adopted out because of the poor treatment they have received all their lives. The only winners in this industry are the puppy mill owners and backyard breeders who are certainly in the industry for the fast cash. They don’t see and don’t care about the huge expense that the shelters and pounds face, the generosity of the public who donate, the generosity of foster carers and volunteers who work tirelessly trying to find the dogs new forever homes. And they don’t give a damn or care about those people who have the task of euthanasing healthy dogs or even worse gassing dogs – which is the most torturous, painful death and an extreme burden on those who have to carry out the task – this could mentally scar them forever. Please put a stop to this now.

It is barbaric to promote this industry. The power of the people and watchdog agencies should help stop these unsrupilous companies from existing.

It is not acceptable for civilised society to allow these people who perpetuate this trade. To the leaders in the state of Indiana - Gov. and House Speaker PLEASE MAKE A STANCE AND STOP THIS PRACTICE!
