APRILS LAW
To make drinking and Driving Laws Tougher. In April of 2008 my uncle and 10yr old cousin was hit head on by a drunk driver. The man that hit them was a hibitual offender and is only serving 15 yrs for killing a 10 yr old little girl and leaving a 43 yr old man crippled for life. Something has to be done to stop people from drinking and driving.
Drunk Driver laws should be as follows:
1) 1st offense: Placed in prison for 5 yrs and follow with a 2 yr alcohol treatment program.
2) 2nd offense: Loss of license permently and 15 yrs in prison to life.
3) 3rd offense or more: Life in prision without parole
Maybe if the drinking and driving laws read this way people would stop and think before drinking and drinking.
I hope that people will read this and help get a law passed in memory of April. Her Family has lost so much by one man making a bad decision and breaking the law.
