Demand for Foreign Media access to Syria

  • by: SyrTimes
  • recipient: The President of the United States

One of the most magnanimous President's in American history, Abraham Lincoln, once said:

"Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves".

As you read this petition, The Syrian government is indescribably torturing thousands of people simply because they went out to peacefully ask for something that has always been their right, freedom.

Most outrageously, the Syrian regime is freely doing as it wishes without a single news agency (other than its own) reporting on the ongoing protests.

At this moment, the access of foreign news agencies and media into Syria for the live coverage of events is essential to bringing justice to the people of Syria.

Sign, and join to be a segment of the hope we wish to bring to the Syrian people.

Please Remember: This is not just a Syrian issue! Its not called "Human Rights" for no reason. It is called that because when one person is deprived from their rights, all of mankind is.

Greetings President Obama,

We, the supporters and undersigned of the "Demand for Foreign Media access to Syria" petition, collectively call for the following:

1. Continuous American pressure on the Syrian Government to grant foreign reporters safe access into Syria for live, nonstop, and elaborate reporting of the Syrian Protests and their corresponding affairs.

2. Clear condemnation of the inhumane responses to peaceful protests by the Syrian Government, its lack of taking responsibility for its corrupt acts, and its unbelievable continuation of such responses.
