FLORIDA does not have fathers rights when a judge clearly gives the children to the mother who abandoned them and was still given to the mother who told the judge she didnt love her 7 year old son,where is this so called justice ,clearly the father was the better parent but florida always gives the children to the mother. this needs to change, fathers can raise their children very well.I am a grandparent fighting for the rights of my son who has been fighting for his children for 2 years and will never stop,He loves them so much.Please give fathers a chance too not just the mothers ,This has to change

I am a mother who feels that a father should have just as much right to custody of their child as mothers unless proven otherwise. The court should not look at the mother and say it is "YOUR" child you take care of it (it's not a puppy it is a child and without the father the child would not have been conceived in the first place)rather ask the question of mothers and fathers prove your case as to why you should have your child. The court says that the "Tender Years Doctrine" is no longer in effect but to many times it is by judges who cannot pull themselves out of the past and realize that fathers are just as capable of caring for their children as mothers and in some cases the better answer.

My husband love his son very much and he as been there for the child even though the mother has taken off. She returned and files for child support and for majority of the time me and my husband took care of the child. Child support keeps telling us that there is nothing we can do. she has kidnapped his son we don't know where he is but support says he gotta pay my husband is not working and is looking for a job still he gotta pay she has told him that there is a chance the child is not his, and we have told child support and they say there is noting we can do
