This petition is not just for students, but for everyone who is against student debt and for free education completely within the Uk. The government CAN afford free education and CAN do it if they act together. Why do students, the future of the country, have to get into thousands of pounds of debt, when the government is spending billions of pounds on such things as the Trident project?

I think that the higher education system has become a sham. It is becoming more and more about how much education you can afford to get as opposed to the choice for a free education if you feel you need it.
