FREE MAJLO!

FREE MAJLO!

Target:
5000

Majlo is a sweet and gentle dog who has never harmed anyone.  Still he is confiscated and ordered killed by the police of Norway, and has been held in a secret place since February 2009.  His family haven't seen him since he was taken away.  They are claimed for 500 dollars to see their own dog, in addition to the 250 dollars they pay each week for his imprisonment. Their crime:  Not knowing that the breed was banned in Norway when they came over from Sweden, where the breed is legal.

Although the law offers banned breeds to leave the country with their owners, the police insist on Majlo being killed instead.  A behaviour test  on Majlo proves that his temper is very good, but it has become a question of prestige to the police to take his life.  Now it is up to the court to decide Majlo's fate.  Please tell them how wrong it is to kill an innocent dog and deprive a family of their beloved friend, just to make an example!

For more information about Majlo and photos of him, see Majlo's page at Canadian Voice for Animals: http://www.cvfaf.org/MAJLO.html

I have owned this "vicious" breed and they are anything but! Mine was very protective of her family and my toddler daughter could do whatever she want to the dog without any repercussions. To kill this dog would be a crime against humanity all because of his breed. someone needs to think back in history of a man who wanted to kill people because of their heritage, because this is the same thing!

Please show some respect for life. Let this innocent dog go back to his family in Sweden - even the law makes it possible.

This is a ridiculous. The Norwegian police is already regarded with contempt, and this does not improve matters at all.

I think that as long as the dog has done nothing wrong he deserves to live. Why should he be killed because he's in a wrong country. I could understand it if the dog was violent or had bitten someone or shown aggressivnes towards others, but in this case it seems he has done nothing to deserve such a thing. Let Majlo live!

This is so wrong. Send the dog back to Sweden to be with his family instead of killing the innocent poor creature! Hope it all works out well :-)

Its not fair! I've had three pits in my life and they are the most loving dogs I've ever owned. Its cruel people who give these dogs their bad names. Its people who shouldn't be allowed to EVER own ANY dog that makes it so these poor sweet angels can't have loving homes. Shame on the people who have taken her so unjustly from her family! LET MAJLO LIVE!

I think this is awful. I wish the family the best of luck getting their beloved pet back! This animal should not be killed and should be giving back to the owners and let them decide to move or to send the pet to a family member where it is legal to own the dog. Don't punish the poor animal for the owner innocent mistake of not knowing they where illegal. Please let me owners have their baby back!!!!!! I hope my signature helps and I pray this beautiful animal get saved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is unjust for payment to be accepted for this animal that belongs to this family, there should be some provision to allow them their animal. It seems terribly unjust to put down this animal for no reason

Det är inte Majlos fel att ägarna inte tog reda på Norges regler innan de tog in honom dit-då är det inte försvarbart att straffa Majlo för detsamma heller.

I am so sick and tired of Pits getting a bad reputation because of someone's ignorance! Wake up people! I have known Corgis and Chihuahuas to be more aggressive than Pits! It is not the breed of the dog that is aggressive, it is the owners of the breed who make them that way. This dog deserves a chance to live, and if he is euthanized because of ignorance, then woe be unto the people who do this to him! God will seek his vengeance on them in a very hurtful way...............believe it! I am going to pray a hedge of protection around Majlo, and that he will be reunited with his family. All of you who read this and believe in prayer, will you please join me? There is power in numbers!

What a shame to take a family's loved prt. Wouldn't your time be better spent actually catching the trouble animals & leaving this one alone

Please do not kill Majlo, It not right to put him down. Give him back to his family. They did not know the law. Can he not be adoped and took out of the country? I would be interested in adoping him.
