We, the undersigned, urge Texan authorities to free the innocent women, children, and other members of the Fundamentalist LDS Church who are currently being detained.  We demand that the Constitutional rights of the innocent be preserved, and that due process be served.

We, who have observed the media reports and witnessed the many ways in which the rights of these citizens have been abused, urge those in authority to use their lawful power to protect such people from broad, intrusive actions.  We condemn the broad authority give to the law enforcement officers to enter into and search any building in the YFZ community.  We condemn the power granted to detain and interrogate hundreds of women and children.

As individuals are innocent until proven guilty, we call upon the Texas Governor to intervene in this matter and allow the women and children to return to their homes peacefully.  We also demand an apology be given to the FLDS, most especially from the Texas CPS, for the heinous acts of aggression displayed in these recent events.

This is truley a sad time for Texas... And to think I had so much faith in this great state. Return those little babies to their mommies NOW!!! PLEASE!!! We all beg you! If you are really concerned, then remove the men, not the children from their mothers, thats just not right, especially when you have not formally charged them! Its against the LAW...

It is a true shame for what has taken place in Texas. Let those people live as they will. If there is one in Government that is sin free then let them cast that proverbial stone.

This action by the Texas and Federal LEA's, along with the militarized DCFS, was a complete abridgment of the rights of the FLDS families and their children. The targetting of this entire community, on the basis of their beliefs and non-mainstream lifeways, is thoroughly unconstitutional. These have been the actions of tyrants, seeking the genocide of "others" through cooercion, throughout history. Whether it is the FLDS, the Japanese Americans put in WWII concentration camps, the genocide of Amerindian cultures through forced assymilation and murder, or the slave master's whip, we must recognize illegality and inhumanity. The harm done to this entire community by the seizure of these children is generational and may be genocidal. In the name of rumor, hearsay, and bigotry, the state has raped the children of the FLDS from their parents. Follow the Texas supreme court's decision. Reverse this action, COMPLETELY, and appologize. Then hope to Heaven that their lawsuit is merciful.

I hope you would instruct your attorneys to cooperate with the order of the Texas Supreme Court and relase those kids to the custody of their parents real quick. I am not a member of that church sect, and I sdon't approve of what they supposedly believe, but it scares me deep in my soul that the government could take away kids like that from their parents. I mean any reasonable person could see those kids are not in immediate danger of physical harm. It scares me because it looks like ti is just the state showing how pwerful it is. It also scares me because of the religious overtones, with the stae deciding what is and is not a good religious belief. Please restore a small bit of my faith in the goodness of government and the people in it and ask your attorneys to petition the court to immediately release those kids to their parents. Respectfully, Christopher J. Muskas

"The scepter may fall from the despot's grasp When with winds of stern justice he copes, But the pillar of truth shall endure to the last And its firm-rooted bulwarks withstand the rude blast And the wreck of the fell tyrant's hopes." Thank God truth will prevail and right will win.

"With liberty and justice for all." We have freedom of religion in the USA and as US citizens it is our right. It is also our right to remain innocent until proven guilty. So far there has been no proof therefore they remain innocent. Please!! I plead for justice, the justice described in our pledge, a pledge which I believe all those who are employed in CPS, and those of the state troopers involved, have taken. Play fair!

The gestapo like tactics of the cps are disguisting to me and many other Americans.I personally think the cps should investigate real cases of abuse and stop making up false stories against people you don't like because of their religious beliefs.I hope the flds sue the state of texas and the cps until their broke and you all have to get real jobs. It disguisted me to see these children taken away in Baptist church buses, who are well known for their hatred of lds and flds people. Also gov.perry is a sad sack of dog poop dressed up in 1000 dollar suits. I think this case was made up by the state which cps does in 99% of it's cases. It was interesting how all of the evidence mysteriously disappeared. Note to the state of texas, start investigating possible abuse of all of the pregnant teenage girls you have wandering around your terrible school system and leave the rest of us alone. Also why does everyone flip out about polygamy when every other sexual practice is glorified in America. Thank you and have a nice day. thank you and have a nice day.

CPS, another of the growing list of government agencies (IRS, DEA, BATF, EPA, HHS) that creates it's own set of regulations under which one can have their children removed, their business shut down, their homes, boats and vehicles seized, and will be held guilty until spending many tens of thousands of dollars proving their innocence.

The act of a government entity in this country entering private property; rounding up children and removing them from whatever "parental" care and lifestyle they know as "normal" really bothers me and reeks of a witch hunt; not to mention it was based on a bugus phone call. I thought this country was founded on religious freedom....this is just too much until something is actually proven as destructive?

My prayers are with the FLDS and I hope that they are reunited with their families and able to be back home where they belong. I hope also that the government has to pay for their breaking of the laws of the land and the many liberties that they have so rudely violated.

Seems kinda strange to me that Texas thinks they can make a law that directly goes in the face of our Constitution. Copied directly from our constitution: Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Texas's law against poligamy flies directly in the face of that. The belief that they are to have many wives and children is supported by the Bible if you look, and NO I do not believe in poligamy I am just pointing it out. Texas also had a marraige law of 14 till after the FLDS moved in, it was some time after they moved there that Texas changed it's laws because they were there. Free the innocents and take only those who are PROVEN guilty. Oh, how our forefathers would be weeping if they could see our great country now.

This is truly scary that over 400 children can be ripped away from their mothers! This is an outrage.

I am outraged by CPS and the State of Texas. If any were abused, prosecute, in meantime, RETURN THE CHILDREN TO THEIR MOTHERS, IMMEDIATELY. I do not agree with FLDS, but they have constitutionaal rights. You would have the children molested in your foster care or group homes in Texas? You CPS and STATE OF TEXAS ARE THE REAL MOLESTERS....and you will have to give an account to God on judgement day. Texas was afraid the FLDS would over populate El Dorado and the mormons take over, rumours were spread of crematorium....didn't find it, did you? I demand those children be given back to the Mothers immediately. Millions around the world stand with the FLDS. When this is all over, I pray the FLDS sue all of you in Texas, it is you Baptists that wanted those children and now you have your wish...hypocrites. The FLDS at least live their religion, the women look like pure, holy, righteous women....covered, pure, no make up, etc....no wonder muslims think our american women..christians included look like hookers....Lord Have Mercy on this Nation....RETURN THE CHILDREN NOW.
