I have two dogs and when although I did not start out another. But I realized that my first dog is much happier with a friend of his own kind. My dogs give each other the emotional things I cannot. And trust me, it is no harder to care for two dogs than one. Besides, you have two daughters and I know they would both be happier if they could each have a dog to play with and love at the same time. So it would be a bonding opportunity for your daughters and Bo and the new dog.

Dear President and Mrs.Obama, I have had many dogs in my lifetime,both pedigreed and shelter mix breed dogs.I know that Bo would love to have a canine playmate and your daughters would be able to each have a dog to walk together. Although many shelters are "no kill" facilities many more are not.I'm sure there are shelters that would be more than happy to aid you in finding another 'hypo-allergenic'dog from a shelter.Many wonderful animals are euthanized every day and your family's loving generosity would set an example for families throughout the nation that could save hundreds to thousands of pets that would be doomed to a lonely existance or death. obama did not disappoint me by not keeping his word to get a shelter dog. in fact, he reinforced my belief that he is not, and has never been, a man of his word. he just knows to say the right thing at the right time. i know i am not the only one to feel this way. it is high time he gets his act together and convince the rest of America that there is hope in him yet, by getting a shelter dog. there are a lot of "non-allergenic" dogs sitting awaiting euthanization at the shelters, lots of poodles of all sizes and colors, maltese, bichon frise, and mixes of these breeds. come on now, do the right thing for a change.
