This petition is to bring awareness to the wrongful conviction of Willie Earl Pondexter Jr. ,Texas death row inmate. Willie has just lost his Federal appeal and his life hangs in the balance for a murder that he did not commit.
The trial was unpropitious, and false and partial testimony was used to get a conviction. Other factors in the trial include, prosecutorial misconduct, false testimony during the guilt and innocence phase of the trial, ineffective assistance of counsel, mitigating evidence, insufficient investigation and actual innocence. There are loads of evidence that has been overlooked and coerced testimonies that are extremely far fetched.
We the undersigned are asking that Willie be given a new trial or his sentence commuted to a term of imprisonment and his life be spared as he has been charged with a way greater crime than he committed.

i am appauled to see how these mens life are taken away in such a barbaric way just like a DOG or other animal put to sleep you take somebody in alive and kill them without 100% proof as you allow this to contunue you dont just set a precedent for their families but for your own future families as you cn never can predict what can happen in the future,

Aunque no soy muy religiosa, mento una frase para los Estados que aplican la pena de muerte: Y Dios dijo: "quien esté libre de pecado, que tire la primera piedra". No es coherente, ni legal, ni justo, ni ético, ni humano aplicar la muerte por quien defiende tan frenéticamente la vida ( y me refiero a esos hipócritas que defienden la pena de muerte y se manifiestan contra el aborto), y tampoco es nada de lo dicho cuando se aplica la muerte a un individuo, porque ha matado ( o por menos cosas), y luego no se mata al Estado por matar. ¿Estamos en Estados democráticos? ¿Ni siquiera quitar la pena de muerte? ¿tanto dinero supone a las grandes fortunas del planeta? si total, es una decisión de nada que no transciende a las bolsas, ... por favor, todos los habitantes del planeta que tenemos la suerte de vivir lo suficientemente bien como para tener internet y escribir, y lo hacemos, estamos ya hartos, por favor, por favor, por favor, ... quiten ya la pena de muerte, aunque sea porque somos unos pesados y seguiremos escribiendo y molestando día sí y día también por una decisión que a ustedes les supone un gesto sin esfuerzo.

The judicial system should be fair, and this should me its main feature. Havind said this, we need to go further and petition for the abolishion of the Death Penalty. Many other countries have done so which proves there are other ways to punish, if this should be the case, that is, when proved guilty.
