How monkeys should be living

Help Stop Testing on Primates.

Charles schumer and Hillary Clinton

Primates who are used in experiments never asked to be there nor did they agree nor were they asked. They go through horrors unimaginable to mankind. They are kept in tiny cages. They are handled by people who have no experience in animal handling. They are put in many kinds of restraints such as a see through tube that allows no movement are a chair that they are put into, straped down and again lose the ability to move. They go through painful experiments. Some have their skulls cut open and have electrodes attached to their brains. Some are blinded. Others are given strokes. And all of this is with out any pain killers. They stay in these conditions for years on end. Babies are taken away from their mothers at birth and put in cages alone. In the wild this would never happen. Mothers take care of their babies for up to 5 years, and all monkeys live in very tight social groups. Every year about 70,000 monkeys go through this horror in the USA alone. This number has gone up by 90% in the last 10 years.

So please take one minute to help monkeys for all the years to come.

this testing is not only incredibly cruel and barbaric, it's not even useful, and sometimes dangerous to humans as well. let's leave these wonderful animals in peace!

The barbaric practice of torturing animals in the name of a twisted science never should have started! Torturing our furry/scaly/slippery friends to test whether or not something is safe for human use is unconscionable, even more so because it does not work. Various drugs keep being recalled due to side effects that didn't show up in research and development. And why didn't those effects show up earlier? Because each species is physiologically unique! I cannot stand the thought of any creature in pain, especially since I have three little dogs. I look in their eyes and know beyond any doubt that human desire for flesh, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or cleaners at their expense is wrong. It is also highly ineffective. End the species-based discrimination! Equal rights for all living creatures!

Testing on primates is useless and one of the most cruel acts I've ever heard of. This awful act often keeps me up at night. After doing extensive research, I became more upset at this issue because I have come to find that animal testing is worthless. There are so many more effective ways of finding cures, ways that use humans in a cruelty free way and experiments being done in artificial environments without pain and suffering of the animals, that would benefit us and the animals. Why is our best interest and the animals best interest not being taken into account? These animals deserve a chance at life - just like US!!! God I hope this ends someday...
