It is time that India moved into the 21st Century and empowered their women by allowing them to own property and have some independence. Women are a vital part of society. They influence, educate and bring up the next generation. They should be valued as such and their well-being and status cared for by allowing them to inherit their husband's property.

This is true that women in India are deprived of their rights. When a baby girl is born, parents and relatives become sad because they consider girl as a liability.I and my three sisters have become victims of inhuman treatment by my grand parents and aunties.male members of the family were given milk to drink and food of their choice but we daughters were not given milk and many a times we were not given enough food to eat.we use to work live slaves. My mother suffered a lot for giving birth to four daughters.After my father's death my mother is forced to stay alone because she has no property on her name.To grab all the properties of my father my brother has produced a created will in the court of law. My mother is helpless.Advocate says widows do not have property rights in India. She is entitled only for maintenance. This is the crude reality.Can any body advise on this matter?

Women should recieve property rights and they should have it NOW!!!! If a man were a Man, then why not give the women what they need to live and that includes Property Rights. What are these MEN afraid of and why if they could answer why are they afraid of the Women? It is unusual don't you think.
