Jessica's Law

We come before you and request that you sign this petition to have Jessica's law passed in NC.  33 states have rallied around and passed a variation of Jessica's law. 

Little Jessica Lunsford, kidnapped from her bed, raped, tortured and buried alive with her little Teddy bear. was murdered by a sexual deviate who has previously served a prison term.   Devastated at his loss, her father along with others, drafted Jessica's law.  It was an unselfish act as it would not bring Jessica back but it could and most likely has saved children in states where it has passed.

If in agreement that it should be passed in NC please sign.  Even those who are not citizens of NC, please sign so the legislation there will know we are united and what happens in one state does matter in another.

The proposed bill HB933, named the "Jessica Lunsford Act," would require judges to impose sentences of either 25 years in prison or life in prison without parole against individuals convicted of certain sex-related crimes involving children. Offenders released from prison would be monitored electronically for life.

It was passed in the House but the senate has not passed it at this time.  Please help.
