There is currenty a petition going on to make it illegal to hunt bears in MN that are tagged with a radio collar. This law would just further government grasp on our  hunting rights. If this law were passed, these researchers would just collar as many bears as possible to keep them from getting shot. It would open a gate to more anti hunting legislation.  While research is great on animals, hunting mortality should always be taken into consideration and  be part of the study.
