Citizens of Massachusetts want Legal Fireworks to Celebrate of country's independence. So therefor we the people of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are petitioning for the Legalization of Consumer Fireworks.
We the people of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are hereby petitioning for the Legalization of Consumer Fireworks. Massachusetts is only one of five states that ban all types of Consumer Fireworks. Since the turn of century many states have Legalized "Class C" 1.4G Consumer Fireworks. More states are now realizing Fireworks manufactured today live up to higher quality and safety standards. We see no reason to continue a flat out ban or "model fireworks law".  The state government needs not to tell the public how to celebrate and Fourth of July or New Years. Massachusetts Citizens are only wanting to carry out the tradition of celebrating Independence Day the American Way, so let put the "Spirit of America" back into Massachusetts, let Legalize Fireworks. Lets face it, there are a lot more dangerous things that are Legal. For instance Bicycles, Motorcycles, Blow Torches, Cigarettes, Alcohol, Firearms, the list goes on. We think having sensible Fireworks Laws, with certain Regulations put into place with age restrictions, would be appropriate. Set an age restriction such as 18 only, to buy, use and possess Fireworks. Most Fireworks injuries reported are to those under age 15. So I would think 18 or older would be a good age restriction for Fireworks sales, possession, and use. Fireworks need to be Legalized and Regulated, so we can keep them out of the hands of kids, and we can show they can be used safely and responsibly by adults, in the proper manner.

Legalize private fireworks in MA. A lot of aspects of life are dangerous - let the people decide what activities they engage in, rather than the state 'protecting us from ourselves.'
