The discussion about keeping SeaShepherd registrated in The Netherlands is re-opened.
Repeated complaints from Japan about numbers of incidents between ships of Sea Shepherd and the Japanese whalers has found its way into the second chamber of the new Dutch Government.
The Dutch government (VVD,PVV,) take these complains from Japan very seroiusly and a change of purpose of the Sealaw is prepared and will be submitted before the summer recess.
It seems once again that the democracy of The Netherlands is a
BIG joke.
SeaShepherd on the other hand is unheared about these "incidents" but only have to justify themselves to the Dutch government (and indirect to Japan)
Even the statement from VVD MP Helma Nepperus shows the lack of protection when she said that Sea Shepherd has to stop with harassing of Japanese fishing boats.
She also told that she is against whaling but would not allow that SeaShepherd is "playing" the police force on the Oceans.
IT is time that our government wakes up and act to protect whales in international waters when Japan does NOT stick to international rules and agreements.http://www.rnw.nl/english/article/japan-clashes-dutch-flagged-anti-whaling-vesselsUnfortunately,it appears as though the illegal whalers may have tried to succeed in gaining enough inluence to dicate the Dutch law trying to enact a ban on Sea Shepherd's work.
We all want that the complaints that were made by SeaShepherd about those incidents will be investigated fairly.
Sea Shepherd ,an international,non- violant organisation protecting, defending the
Worlds Oceans, has succeeded to stop these poachers but have been with strong resistance.
This would leave many whales and all Oceanlife vulnerable to illegal slaughter,if Japan gets it's way in The Netherlands.
If you are against illegal whaling crimes,
please DO SIGN & make HUGE ~Waves~ with spreading your voice and forward this petition to help the Dutch Government understand the important impact of the Oceans in OUR lives and our childrens lives!!
