Non Violent, Distributed, Arrest Adverse, Neighborhood Based

If you believe the following to be true and are willing to do whatever you can, in any way you can - please sign.

A General Strike is an appropriate response to End Violence Against Peaceful Protest.

If we reach 30,000 people from the Portland area, in two days we will have called a General Strike.  This is about as impossible as thinking we could have 10,000 people in the streets within a week, or that we can change anything at all.

If we are unsuccessful in calling for a General Strike, then perhaps we will have been successful in our call reaching more people for a Day of Action at 4:30pm and March at 5:30pm.

So we have been doing this for several weeks now, will you lend a hand an join us for a day to protest this.

If you agree to this, then you agree act as friends and neighbors in a distributed non-violent, arrest adverse way - in your neighborhood or other location of your choice.  Take the day off of work if you feel ill and rest up - have a lunch meeting with your friends and neighbors - discuss for the day what we as a Movement can do about this.  Meet for a march a rally and march at 4:30pm in city center.

Watch the video, join together.

We the undersigned,

Call for a peaceful, non-violent, distributed, non-arrest General Strike in the City of Portland.  We do this as a response to police violence against the Occupy Movement and especially because of police violence against OccupyOakland and Veterans for Peace member Scott Olson, who was critically injured.

We were angry that police used these tactics against peaceful protestors and could understand, not justify just understand, someone getting accidently hurt.

The Oakland Police then broke Geneva Convention for firing into a crowd of people who were trying to help the injured protestor. This is why we have to stand together in saying No Violence Against Peaceful Protest!
