This is a copy of an e-mail I received today from a friend of mine. I was so impressed by the importance of spreading this around and getting signatures that I thought I would create a petition on here as well.
Please take the time to read this and to add your name to this petition. I want to add the names of those who sign here to this message. Please don't let the group that the e-mail below mentions get away with taking away our religious freedom to express our Christian views over the airwaves or on television. Please add your name, and let's show them how God's people work to support our Lord's gospel!
BTW- Even if you are not a Christian I urge you to sign. Once one freedom is taken away then other freedoms will follow. Thanks to all of you.

This country, the United States of America, was founded upon religious principles, from both Deism and Christianity. Also, the Constitution of the United States is not a living, breathing document. It cannot, and should not, be changed. Amended, yes, changed, no. Putting those two things together, then, we can conclude that whether today's government officials like it or not, "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
What *is* the exercise of religion, exactly? According to the Bible, we should exercise our religion daily, in every decision and every action we make. No matter what beliefs a person has, their beliefs *always,* let me repeat, *always,* determine what a person thinks, says, and does. Because I am a Christian, I think like a Christian (most of the time, at least, which shows that I'm not a perfect Christian, but still think of the flesh quite often.), and I act (again, most of the time) like a Christian. Your beliefs determine your actions. They always do.
So, from this, we can determine that trying to separate religion from a person is impossible. So why try it in any form? A person exercises his/her religion in most everything they do. So why try to suppress it? One word-Satan.
As one small aside, please pray for your government leaders, whether you are in the USA or not. I think that in this time of depression, it is the whole world which needs praying for. God bless all of you who sign this petition.

One nation under God, that is how our founding fathers set up the beginning of our country. Little by little our nation's founding values have been disposed of and our morals replaced with a "don't blame me, I'm not responsible for my actions, Blame someone else" attitude. The Golden Rule has been removed from our schools as well as the 10 Commandments. Soon we will have no freedoms at all.
