To His Excellency Than Shwe and the People of Myanmar,
We, the undersigned, in recognizing and keeping with the inalienable principle of the rights of nations to self-determination, declare our total solidarity with the leadership and people of Myanmar against the imperialist conspiracy to remove your regime, in favor of one more subservient to globalization via sanctions, conspiracies, and interference. In particular, we condemn the current and proposed sanctions and embargoes directed against the people of Myanmar. Such interference and economic warfare directed against your fraternal and beloved people constitutes an act of war and violation of inalienable human rights; working to magnify the suffering of your people via attempting to prevent it from developing a strong independent national economy.
Your Excellency, the words of Bush and Brown, as hypocritical, aggressive, and transparent as they are, do not genuinely represent the views and interests of the world, nor even of many people within the United States and United Kingdom. In calling for greater and greater unity of the forces of independence throughout the world, how could we not but find ourselves congratulating resistant Myanmar and demanding an end to the stranglehold place against her greatness?
We reject the western imperialist press accounts of recent disruptive events against the security and stability of Myanmar; events triggered by domestic and foreign agents of the enemies of national independence. In response, we declare that the internal affairs of Myanmar belong to Myanmar alone. This is particularly true, as the general effort of these %u201Cdemonstrations%u201D was to further entrench Myanmar with sanctions so as to bring about a western client regime.
As always, we welcome Myanmar, a comradely nation, amongst the fellowship of peoples, and reject all efforts at demonization, isolation, and aggression against her.
Wishing great success to Myanmar for developing an ever-stronger and unified nation and economy,
