If you are guilty of over feeding your pooch, you must stop it now! Food is not love. Not only is it not love but it could lead to your pets death. Your dog is at your mercy when if comes to meal and snack time, and the only discipline being exercised in doggie's diet is yours.
Do you have a fat dog? Don't feel like you are all alone. Dog obesity has become as big a problem (no pun intended), as obesity has become a problem with their owners. You may be trying to ignore the fact, but obesity is a huge problem. If your dog is fat, you are robbing her out of the chance to live the longest, healthiest life. If you don't curb your fat dog's diet, she is at an increased risk of developing painful conditions like arthritis, or life-threatening ones like cardiovascular disease, pancreatic disease, or diabetes, that could lead to your beloved friends death. Our fat dogs need to go on a dog diet.
Plain and simple, the fact is that fat dogs are not healthy and don't try to fool yourself into thinking otherwise. Personally, I don't see how your pet could be very happy either. I mean, if I was having to carry around all of that extra weight, it would make me feel miserable!
So take the pledge, Weight loss for dogs is not a matter of willpower for the dog, but you, may need to use it to resist those begging eyes. Remember, food is not love!
