Every year Police and Security K-9 suffer or die from extreme heat or cold while they are left unattended in Police or Security vehicles. These animals risk their lives every day protecting us and their handlers.  it is gross negligece when a Officer leaves his K-9 partner in a un-cooled or heated vehicles to die.  This is a crime and felony charges should be applied.
     With these petition I am asking Congress to pass a law making it manatory for all Police and Security vehicles who carry K-9 to have said vehicles installed with cooling and heating units so these animals will not be at risk of death from extreme cold or heat. And also to make all Police and Security held responsible for any neglect that causes harm to their K-9 partners

             During the last few years there has been a number of Police K-9 that has died due to being left in a un-cooled or un-heated Police vehicles or Security vehicles.  These animals risk their lives every day preventing crime and many have saved their handler's life.  Leaving these K-9 without proper cooling or heating in a vehicle is gross animal cruelity and our laws should be changed for it to me manatory for all Police and Security vehicles who have K-9 on board to be equipped with cooling and heating for these animals.

        The latest K-9 death was reported in Gilbert Arizona. The responsible handlers should be held responsible for this type of neglect.
