I suffer from some mental health problems myself. For the last 10 yrs I have been a captive of more Drs than I care to count and 100 times more medications. I have been held captive by my own body, mind and agoraphobia. THIS should NOT be happing to me and should NOT happen to anyone else that has mental illness issues.

I have a mental illness and agree that if the government took more of a proactive approach to this widespread issue, maybe there wouldn't be such a stereotype about people with mental illness'. My abusive ex-husband has repeatedly used my mental (and physical) "disabilities" to keep my children away from me and to continue his abusive treatment.

The Government is not totally to blame for the failed health system for the mentally ill. They share the burden with Insurance companies and pharmacutical companies. Oh, and the lobbiest who make the deals.
