Today Internet consumers are in ultimate control deciding between content, applications & services available anywhere, no matter who owns the network. There's no middleman.

Without NET NEUTRALITY, the Internet will look more like cable TV. Network owner

Net Neutrality, Stop big media from stealing your freedom on the Internet

Target:
Everyone
Sponsored by:
What is NET NEUTRALITY?     Network Neutrality or " NET NEUTRALITY " for short is the guiding principle that preserves the free and open Internet. (the petition to sign and links to help are at the bottom of this page)

Here is the problem:
Big media companies like Comcast, Verizon, Viacom and AT&T want to take away our free and open Internet. This freedom that we use currently without a second thought every single day is called: Net Neutrality. Big media wants to control the Internet like they do TV, news, phone services and radio now. They are lobbying very hard and fast right under our noses to get this done. We must let our voice be heard before it is too late.

How does this affect you?
Do you want big media to:
- charge you for going to certain sites? Or even all sites?
- have the power to censor what you see, say and do on the Internet? Including your own website and blogs?
- have a 'tiered program'? Or to charge more if you use the Internet more than someone who doesn't use it much?
- control the speed that your own website can be downloaded by others? What you'll have to pay them for your own site or blog?
- cause you to lose the Internet as you know it now so that they can control all the programming and content decisions and start price gouging plans?

Here is how you can help:
- Sign this petition and pass it on to everyone you can. We are sending your demand to keep a free and open Internet to the FCC, Congress, Senate and ALL the presidential candidates!
- Go to: www.savetheinternet.com for more information
- Call your Congressman. To find your Congressman's number go to: www.congress.org/congressorg/directory/congdir.tt
- Tell everyone you possibly can, use your voice and Internet. It is up to us to make sure this does not happen.

We the undersigned love this website and all it%u2019s good works.  That is why Net Neutrality is a very crucial and immediate issue that affects all of us. The Internet has given the people a voice, power and knowledge like no other medium ever has.  And now it is seriously threatened by big money media corporations that want to make you pay big bucks and totally control what you see, say and read on the Internet. We hope that you will be moved to sign the petition and pass it on.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration. We deeply and sincerely appreciate it.

The internet is the last bastion of freedom for the individual to communicate, and that critically important freedom represents -- and is -- a vital bulwark against restrictions on free speech and against the efforts of corporate/political special interests to restrict that speech and exert increasingly antidemocratic influence over where nations -- and people's lives -- are headed. Net Neutrality is vital to preventing that antidemocratic development from succeeding. Net Neutrality -- and all the protections of freedom of speech and freedom to communicate opinions and unvarnished information as to what is really happening in our world -- must be upheld.

Open source is the BEST for the economy if everything becomes a chargable area to someone the how do you break up the costs between each provider that touches the link to a site. The answer YOU CAN NOT unless you charge $1,000.00 per visited site so that every one can get a peice of the action. The internet was made and ment to be a free exchange zone and even having to pay a provider breaks the law of the original deployment of the concept that made the internet what it is today.

The internet is the only people-to-people communication media that there is. It should not become like radio and television, that is, dominated by big corporations.

It figures that these greedy corps. want to take this too and profit on something that is our right. They control Media as it is now, since deregulation..Conservatives have bought up Newspapers and TV stations already and control what we see hear and know. This step is too far, they must be stopped from taking this media away from us and dictating to us now or in the future.
