One Tree Hill Season 9

"In your life you're going to go to some great places, and you're going to do some wonderful things. But no matter where you go or who you become, this place will always be with you. There is only ONE Tree Hill. And it's your home." Who would've known back in 2003 that quote would have impacted millions of lives all over the world up until this very day. One Tree Hill also known as "the little show that could" has inspired and changed lives weekly on television since September 23, 2003.

In the first season, OTH struggled with ratings but as episodes aired, viewers began falling in love with the characters and the show gained a large, strong and devoted fan base. Viewers fell in love with and connected with Lucas: the deep, edgy yet kind hearted guy that every girl wanted as their boyfriend, Nathan: the troubled young man but couldn't help but want to see him do better guy, Haley: the 'best friend' with a heart full of gold, Peyton: the misunderstood 'lonely cheerleader', and Brooke: the slutty yet lovable head cheerleader.

Throughout the first 4 years, the characters we loved faced obstacles, gained love, suffered loss, matured, and ultimately grew up in front of our eyes. As the characters went through this so did their loyal and now international fan base. Mark Schwahn, the cast and the crew have created some of the most powerful scenes in television history while also providing light hearted moments, and life lessons in each episode. As season 4 ended, our characters had matured and achieved many goals in which they set since the very beginning: winning a basketball championship, a rock tour, pregnancy, a fashion line (Clothes Over Bros), a night club (Tric) and ultimately building strong relationships.

When One Tree Hill returned for Season 5 in 2008, they made television history by being one of the first television series to jump forward in time between seasons. To be precise, '4 Years, 6 Months and 2 Days'. It was a way for the fans to see the characters in a new light, a tricky but very smart decision. That year One Tree Hill celebrated its 100th episode! One year later, contract issues as well as unknown situations caused Hilarie Burton and Chad Michael Murray to leave the show in the finale of Season 6. But the show would luckily go on! Season 7 was going to bring in a "fresh breath of air" to the series with adding 4 new additions and soon to be regulars to the cast Robert Buckley (Clay), Shantel VanSanten (Quinn) Austin Nichols (Julian) and Jana Kramer (Alex) as well as the core we love Brooke, Haley and Nathan.

With these new additions to the cast the show we love added new spice, and drama to it and the fans fell in love with the show once again. We got to see the core characters in a new light such as Haley ( Bethany Joy Galeotti) go through severe depression after loosing her mother. As Season 7 finale approached the CW had yet to renew us and we were still on the "bubble", the finale then aired with no word on whether we were getting picked up. With the news that Haley and Nathan would be expecting another child, Brooke was finally engaged to Julian, us fans start believing we were loosing the show we loved and spent each week with. But then the final seconds of the finale we saw the two newbies Clay and Quinn get shot and be left for death, we had a sense of hope for another season, but left us fans with what if this is it:  REALLY MARK LEAVE US WITH A CLIFFHANGER?

The next day the CW announced One Tree Hill would be coming back for another season, but only 13 episodes were ordered at that time. Now we have a full season, and the loyal fans are still here. 8 years, with 8 seasons and (at the end of the season) 174 episodes later One Tree Hill has touched the lives of millions. The show has been through time changes, moving to different nights, and dealing with being on the bubble time after time, but us devoted and loyal fans as well as the cast and crew have kept us coming back year after year.

We fans would like to thank Mark, the crew, the cast (especially Bethany, James, and Sophia) for changing and inspiring our lives and sticking through 8 seasons so far with us. We are not ready to give this up, and in recent interviews the creator and an inspiration to all us fans (Mark Schwahn) has said he would like to make it to 200 episodes, and to get there it all starts with a SEASON 9 ! We've sat back and watched as the CW dangled the idea of cancellation over our heads year after year. And each year us devoted, loyal, international fans come together and fight for the show we love, our voices deserve to be heard, we love this show and we will continue to fight for it until its the cast/crew decision to let it go.

So here's to SEASON 9, and hopefully it will lead us to our 200 episode goal, there is only ONE TREE HILL and its OUR home!

PS: Every week starting an our before One Tree Hill please start trending #onetreehill we need to show the CW how much we care!
