________  Cash for Clunkers Bill.  ________

-This program is completely Cash for Clunkers Bill is voluntary
. but the salvage yards will not be able to sell Engines, and Transmissions that could be used to maintain an older car.

Currently there's a bill called "Cash for Clunkers" which the government will proposed federal program that would encourage consumers to trade in gas-guzzlers or older cars for new cars that get better fuel economy, and that new cars are safer then the older cars.
the government will pay $2000 dollars to $4000 depending on the fuel economy of the new car compared to the older car, when the trade is made the older car will be crushed as well with the Engine and transmission and not be sold again! the Engines and transmissions will be crushed. which people can use in current cars of the same make and model that need engines or transmissions for their cars to run.
the government will send the money to the dealer via electronic voucher
,

The right to having parts for your older cars by petitioning the new Law Cash for Clunkers, If passed you will no longer be able to buy used parts at salvage yards including all parts related to the engine, and the engine its self, as well as the transmissions and parts contained there for in, will not be sold. will be crushed.

What happens to the car that you trade in? The dealer is responsible for sending the vehicle to a disposal facility. The entire vehicle will be crushed or shredded so that the car does not end up on the road again. this will take parts away from keeping the low income people getting good parts to keeping there cars running.

Since the "clunkers or Old Cars" will be taken off the road, there will be fewer older vehicles in the marketplace, and few parts for running cars to use.

and for low income Americans to buy a new car and having insurance which they will not be able to afford will be very bad for the economy at this time.

I encourage everyone to sign my petition to keep the right of having older cars on the road and keeping the salvage yards the ability to sell all parts of a car including transmissions and engines.

PS: thank you for your positive responses.

Thank you.

THIS CASH FOR CLUNKERS FUNDS PLAN NEEDS TO BE GIVING TO THE TAX PAYERS TO DECIDE WHETHER THEY WANT TO INVEST IN HIGH INSURANCE PAYMENTS AND CAR PAYMENTS OR FIX THEIR CLUNKER AND HAVE MONEY TO PAY THEIR MORTAGE OR POSSIBLE SOMETHING ELSE THEY MAY NEED NOT ADD ON BILLS...THIS IS WHY WE HAVE CUNKERS THE RATES FOR NEW VEHICHLES AND INSURANCE..........

this program is a waste of taxpayers money and good cars, the idea is good but they need to have stricter rules and only take in real clunkers and then part out those cars not kill and crush them.

I think it's just plumb wrong for the government to trash these cars! You ought to salvage parts and keep them for someone who NEEDS to fix up their old car to get by in their life, not screw them into possibly losing their new car from a job loss in this ever descending economy!

I think this whole program is a joke! There are cars out there that can still be used and there are lots of people who can not afford a new car. This is not helping our economy at all, this is going to put the average person in more debt then they already are. What is the government thinking. Oh wait, that's right they chose to do a Cash for Clunkers for Personal Jets. So the Big Wigs at the Big Banks had to give up their Jets (which they should) to travel commercial but Government gets their Jets upgraded because the other ones are out of date? AND AT WHO's EXPENSE??????? the Tax Payer! Stop this Program NOW!

Along with the reasons listed in this petition, this bill will also add to our trash piles and therefore not be better for the environment.

I hope that everyone will sign this petition and write to the president and send this to everyone they know. I think this bill is one more nail in our coffin.

Unfornuately most cash for clunkers participants will be those middle class individuals who have purchased new cars in the past. I suspect the average program applicant will be trading in cars that are relatively new and just above what they would recieve as a trade in value. These cars will not vary that much in efficiency than those they will be purchasing leaving the "true Clunkers" still on the road. Eliminating parts in the upper range of fuel efficient used cars does not help the low income consumers who by used cars to trade up, thereby perpetuating the use of outdated, inefficient older cars. It is a shame legislators opt. to push bills out without truly studying the impact of their legislative actions beforehand. Where are they getting their information? Perhaps they should take longer vactions from Washington so they can mingle among their constituents to see how things really work!

So, Like I have a 97 chevy silverado and if it needs a tranny or engine that are used I ll not be able to get it if I need one. that is not American!! Seen that Europe has a law like this and they dont allow a older car to be register next year.

This is a great program which would help the auto industry and consumers so it is a win-win situation. If used car dealers are nervouse maybe there should be stricter paramaters on the cards eligible for this program: it should be cars which are 10 years old or older
